''Paid Vacation'' albumune kadar bence baya iyidi. Esasinda belli bir doneme hitap eden tarzi oldugundan artik simdileri ciddiye alinacagi pek sanmiyorum. Yine de kendime gore ''Hold On To The Night'',''Endless Summer Nights'' gibi dolu kayde deger sarkisi vardir...

22.03.2005 - 22:1180lerin sonlarinda cikarak kisa bir zaman icersinde olsa da ikon olmustu. Ne kadar pop-rock turu yapsa da sarkilarinin karanlik ve gizemli bir tarafi varmis izlenimi verirdi ama artik simdiki zamana pek uymadigindan cogu kisye komik de gelebilir artik (hele hele o kirpi saclari) .
2004'te album cikartsa bile bence sonmus bir yildiz. Ne yapalim iste o zamanlar Pop-corn genclik akimi vardi, Patrick Sawayze'in filmlerini izleyip Richard Marx gibi gruplari dinleyip yaz maz, hayaller mayaller filan iste gecmis artik bizden:P

Yaptigi film muzikleriyle buyumusum haberim yok, yani baksaniza Planet of the Apes, Police Story, Poltergeist, Chinatown, Alien, Outland ve daha niceleri saymakla bitmiyor, yuh yani dedim adam Rambo filmlerinden tutun Star Trek'in ilk filminden en son filmine kadar tum muzikleriyle ugrasmis. En baba filmlere baba bir imza atmis. Yaklasik 315 filmde besteleri kullanilmis. Omen olsun Basic Instinct olsun cogu cult olmus filmlerde var ve de calismadigi yonetmen kalmamis. Herhalde Hollywood'un kapisinda biletleri de bu adam kesiyordu.
Elmer Bernstein'a asmis dedim bu adama ne desem ki, ucmus adam evet evet ucmus. Annem bile bu sayilar kadar camasir yikamamistir:P
Bir de anlamadigim bu kompozitorler neden yakin tarihlerde goc ediyor dunyadan. Micheal Kamen 2003, Elmer Bernstein 2004 ve Jerry Goldsmith 21 Temmuz 2004'te... Piyasada harbi kompozitor kalmayacak nerdeyse. Her yeni filmde eskileri dinleriz artik. Olsun Hans Zimmer olmeden cozumu bulmus ki yeni kanlar getiriyor....
Yok yok adamin yaptigi filmelerden gozumu alamiyor, zaten buraya sigdirmakta bile zorluk cektim... Gremlin filmlerinin bile muziklerini bu adam yapmis, oha ya... Hadi adam mefaat etti ve piyasa adam kalmadi diyelim; ya peki yasarken de mi adam yoktu da onca bilindik filme ve de ustune serilerine imza atabilmis. Masallah demek lazim, baya uretken besteciymis.
