Have You Ever Printed Your Fingerprint

Have you ever printed your fingerprint on the misty glass, while the raindrops are dripping...
At the beach, did you squeeze the sand in your fist and watch it slide through your fingers?
Did you open the closet door and look for minutes?
Have you persistently tried to tear off the flesh coming out of your thumb with your index finger?

Have you listened to songs that have separated your tune many times when you are alone...
Have you tried to inhale the steam coming out of the top of the tea?
Have you ever wanted to turn your life back on?
Have you prayed for nights to the one who will not come?

Did you miss your childhood?
The smell of earth that clings to your hands,
The game of hide and seek you played in the twilight,
The wounds of your knees,
The Yeşilçam movies you've watched.
Broken toys...

Tears flowing from my hair, on the stove
If I love your dripping and scratching voice and watching it disappear,
I love you so.

I like it like climbing two or three steps up the stairs.
I love it like the pleasure of snatching warm bread from your nose and eating it.
Like the tears that a laugh sheds from my eyes,
As much as removing and tearing my crusted wound.

As much as watching falling snowflakes melt with my hands.
I love you as much as I miss my childhood. The one that makes you smile when remembered, that doesn't come back even if you want it so much...
You are a menthol heartache in my heart. Cold but refreshing.
You are the excitement that I can't suppress inside me...

I forgot to ask.
Have you ever lost something, when you searched a lot and couldn't find it and stopped looking for it and then, when you were looking for something else, did you ever find what you lost before?
