LET IT BE

An area with highs and lows, hilly,
A running stream down in the valley,
Be asked „what is this place really“
.............................Let it be our region?

A shifty cottage from straw bundles,
Thatched-roof, everybody easily handles,
Door open for all, walk in with sandals,
.............................Let it be our castle?

Fresh with country air and breeze,
Whitewashed walls winking among trees,
Say, a bird’s nest, around it, berries,cherries,
.............................Let it be our house?

Shade of trees are our summer houses,
Grasses are carpets,surrounding red roses,
Our dreams, gained treasures with no losses,
.............................Let it be our wealth?

Running black ants are our racing horses,
Leaves on waters are, yachts with no courses,
Sales of two eggs are our earning sources,
.............................Let it be our income?

Hand in hand, gathering the hands, holding firm,
Our efforts, strive for success in any form,
Our skill, hardwork keeping us active and warm,
.............................Let it be our power?

Bright days and dark nights are our covers,
Make ups are from red-green henna colors,
Ornaments from all kind leaves, wild flowers,
.............................Let it be our decors?

Friends at all times, with us not in races,
With warm smiles, encouraging faces,
A natural, simple life on healthy basis,
.............................Let it be our treasures?

If The Creator is good to us, good friend,
Accepting our wishes, donates a grant,
Gives us a son or a daughter at the end
.............................Should it be our creation,
.............................Should it be our descender?

Çalıdan çardak katımız,
Sazdan samandan çatımız,
Herkese açık kapımız,
................Kalemiz olsun mu?

İçi dışı kır havası,
Ak topraktan sıvası,
De ki bir kuş yuvası,
................Evimiz olsun mu?

Ağaç gölgesi yalımız,
Yeşil çimen halımız,
Gönül dolusu malımız,
................Varımız olsun mu?

Koşan karınca atımız,
Yüzen yaprak yatımız,
İki yumurta satımız,
................Akarımız olsun mu?

El ele bir ellerimiz,
Emeğimiz alın terimiz,
Beceri ve hünerimiz,
................Gücümüz olsun mu?

Gece karamız, gündüz akımız,
Al yeşil kına yakımız,
Kır çiçeği takımız,
................Süsümüz olsun mu?

Varı yoğu bilenimiz,
Candan yüze gülenimiz,
Sağlıklı bedenimiz,
................Hazinemiz olsun mu?

Eğer geçerse nazımız,
Yaradandan niyazımız,
Bir oğul, ya da kızımız,
................Yaratımız olsun mu?
