Respect to humankind, dead or alive,

No poverty, no one on misery’s edges,
Not needing to wear trust badges,
No courts, no lawyers and no judges,
...........A land as such to live in, I dream.

Beautiful understanding, and tolerance,
Friendly, human hearts, with no arrogance,
No attacks, no use of force or violence,
...........A world as such to live in, I dream.

No way, no way, I am only dreaming,
To myself, I am mocking and sneering,
By closing eyes, I am just daydreaming,

...............Bir şehir özlüyorum.

Başlar takkesiz külahsız,
Eller kamasız silahsız,
Kulu kullara ilahsız,
...............Bir diyar özlüyorum.

Halkı fakirsiz sefilsiz,
Düzeni kefaletsiz kefilsiz,
Kavgasız, hakimsiz, vekilsiz,
...............Bir ülke özlüyorum.

Engin hoşgörü, sınırsız,
Gönüller kinsiz kibirsiz,
Arzuları hür, cebirsiz,
...............Bir toplum özlüyorum.

Olmaz olmaz biliyorum,
Kendi kendime gülüyorum,
Gerçekten hayal görüyorum,
