An unfortunate error of judgement
may surely put you in a terrible predicament
at first, inevitably, it looks like an embarrassing fall
but later, it may turn out to be an invaluable wake-up call
every misfortune brings some pain though,
it may also help you see friend and foe
only a fool would try to please a crocodile or a vulture
‘cause it’s in their nature and culture
to devour and devour
till the final hour
until all life turns pale and sour
