A crippled man stands near a street lamp in the darkest hour of the night
He stares at the light as if he shall find some way out
Dozens of flying creatures that the brightness attracted miss his eyes
Just like becoming one of them does
As I walk home without an umbrella, orphan rain drops fall on my head
Since they used to be my friends, I never thought of them as a threat
But tonight they fall hard like enemy troops attack
Invading all the sacred roads to my brain and soul which contract
As my eyes made contact with the mirror in my room I realized
The stranger in the street was no one but myself paralyzed
And I left him alone 'cause I've been busy thinking about someone else
Someone with whom my relationship became very tense
It kept calling, and although I didn't answer the phone nor the door
This obstinate Love found a way and put my shoulders on the floor
Then it showed me her eyes, and Cupid came from heaven's garden with his dice
To shoot me in a two bedroom apartment in the neighborhood of mythological gods
Hey, the Goddess of Love, would you answer a question please?
Why should all the problems put roller skates on and come down the hills
Just when I really found what I've been seeking for so long
I, a crippled man in a crippled world, with a heart that sings the Universe's song
