Anadolu'da Bayram

ANADOLU’DA BAYRAM:

Arefe akşamı tüter her ocak,
Anadolu’da bayram, gönüller bir,
Kömeç kokusuyla uyanır sokak,
Anadolu’da bayram, gönüller bir.

Fırında kızarır bayram çöreği,
İncecik açılır kırk kat baklava,
Sarma kokusuyla dolar her evi,
Bereket yayılır köyden ovaya.

Seher vakti doğar bayram sabahı,
Minarelerden nur gibi tekbir,
Saf tutar camide köylü, sipahi,
Dargın gönüllerde kalmaz artık kir.

Avluda helâllik alınır bir bir,
Yaşlı gözlerinde şükür ışıltı,
Kardeşçe sarılır herkes bir bir,
Bayramdır, silinir gönülden sızı.

Arefe gününde mezarlık yolu,
Kur’an tilaveti göklere yükselir,
Toprakta yatanlar anılır dolu,
Rahmet dualarla ruhlara serilir.

Evlerde kurulur zengin sofralar,
Somun, bazlama, bal, tereyağı, keş,
Çaydanlık başında çoğalır dostlar,
Gönülden gönüle akar sevgi eş.

Harçlık alınca şen çocuklar koşar,
Bakkalın önünde bayram telaşı,
Şekerle, oyuncakla güler her başlar,
Sevinçtir sokaklar, bayramdır yaşı.

Kapılar ardına kadar açıktır,
Misafir baş tacı Anadolu’da,
Tatlısı, sarması gönül saçmıştır,
Muhabbet büyür her sıcak yuvada.

Kaynana kayınbaba adil davransın,
Gelin de evlattır unutma bunu,
Bayramdır gönüller sevgiyle yansın,
Kırmayın kimsenin narin ruhunu.

Gelene hoş geldin denilsin bugün,
Gelmeyene sakın söz dokunmasın,
Belki yükü ağır, belki de hüzün,
Kimsenin kalbine taş konulmasın.

Yapılan tatlıdan pay düşsün dara,
Garibin kapısı bayramla açılsın,
Rahmet iner gönlü temiz kullara,
Paylaşan sofralar nurla saçılsın.

Der ki Mahrumi bu bayram çağında,
Küskünler barışsın sevgiyle derin,
Anadolu’nun her köy ocağında,
Anadolu’da bayram, gönüller bir.

FESTIVAL IN ANATOLIA:

Every hearth smokes on the eve of the holiday,
It's a holiday in Anatolia, hearts are united,
The streets awaken with the smell of kömeç (a type of pastry),
It's a holiday in Anatolia, hearts are united.

Holiday bread bakes in the oven,
Forty-layered baklava is rolled out thinly,
Every house fills with the smell of sarma (stuffed grape leaves),
Blessings spread from the village to the plain.

The morning of the holiday dawns at sunrise,
The call to prayer shines like light from the minarets,
Villagers and cavalrymen line up in the mosque,
No more stain remains in grudges.

Forgiveness is sought one by one in the courtyard,
A gleam of gratitude in the tearful eyes,
Everyone embraces each other like brothers and sisters,
It's a holiday, the pain is wiped from the heart.

The road to the cemetery on the eve of the holiday,
The recitation of the Quran rises to the heavens,
Those lying in the earth are remembered with many prayers,
Mercy is spread upon their souls with prayers.

Rich tables are set in homes,
Loaves of bread, flatbread, honey, butter, cheese,
Friends multiply around the teapot,
Love flows from heart to heart.

Children run happily when they receive their pocket money,
The hustle and bustle of the holiday in front of the grocery store,
Every head smiles with sweets and toys,
The streets are full of joy, it's a holiday.

Doors are wide open,
Guests are welcome in Anatolia,
Sweet dishes and stuffed grape leaves have spread joy,
Affection grows in every warm home.

Let mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law be fair,
Don't forget that the daughter-in-law is also a child,
Let hearts burn with love on this holiday,
Don't break anyone's delicate soul.

Welcome those who come today,
Don't speak ill of those who don't come,
Perhaps their burden is heavy, perhaps they are sad,
Let no one's heart be burdened.

May a share of the sweets be given to those in need,
May the door of the poor be opened with the joy of the holiday,
May mercy descend upon those with pure hearts,
May the tables of sharing be illuminated with light.

Mahrumi says in this holiday season,
May those who are estranged reconcile with deep love,
In every village hearth of Anatolia,
It is a holiday in Anatolia, hearts are united.
